World AS Day 2026: Our Biggest Year Yet

World AS Day 2026 has officially been our most successful campaign to date – demonstrating the incredible power of our global community coming together to raise awareness of axSpA.
This year’s story-led campaign reached more people than ever before. Across ASIF’s channels alone, we connected with over 51 million people and generated more than 56 million impressions, while driving nearly 100,000 visits to World AS Day resources.
Engagement soared, with 2.3 million interactions and an extraordinary 47 million video views – seven and a half times more than in 2025. These figures highlight just how strongly the campaign resonated, particularly the personal stories shared by people living with axSpA around the world.
Importantly, this momentum translated into meaningful action. The campaign drove over 77,000 page views to the World AS Day website, encouraging individuals to explore resources, share their experiences, and help spread awareness further.
None of this would have been possible without our dedicated global community, our member organisations, people living with axSpA, advocates, healthcare professionals, and partners, who shared their stories, supported one another, and helped amplify the campaign message. Your voices are what made this year so impactful.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make World AS Day 2026 the biggest and most successful yet.

Global Spondyloarthritis Summit

The Spondylitis Association of America’s 2026 Global Spondyloarthritis Summit was a tremendous success, with thousands registering from around the world to learn practical strategies for navigating everyday life with spondyloarthritis. This year’s theme, Living Well with SpA: Practical Approaches to Everyday Challenges, featured expert-led sessions on topics including movement and exercise, fatigue management, mental health, aging with SpA, workplace adaptations, family relationships, nutrition, and the latest research developments. All sessions are now available for on-demand viewing, and it is not too late to register and access the recordings.
Walk Your AS Off

Congratulations to all the teams who participated in Walk Your AS Off in May! Thank you to everyone who logged steps and raised awareness. NASS AS Buzzers, BEKHTEREV NORGE, and NASS ORANGE APPLES have taken the top spots! SAA really appreciates all the support and love for WYASO. Remember, you can keep logging steps all year to earn a medal for walking one million steps (or more).
