Are you a legal or governance professional looking to use your expertise for global impact?
ASIF is recruiting a voluntary Legal/Governance Trustee to help shape the future of our international charity supporting people living with axial spondyloarthritis worldwide.
ASIF is an international membership charity working to improve the lives of people living with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) worldwide. We are seeking an individual with strong expertise in UK charity law, governance, and risk management who can provide strategic oversight and ensure we continue to operate to the highest standards.
About the role:
✔️ Provide legal, governance, and risk guidance at Board level
✔️ Support compliance with UK Charity Commission requirements
✔️ Contribute to strategy, policy development, and organisational accountability
✔️ Help ensure ASIF remains sustainable, effective and impactful
This is a voluntary, non-executive role offering a meaningful opportunity to use your expertise for global good, with a time commitment of approx. 1–4 hours per month.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who:
✔️ Are a qualified solicitor, barrister, or governance expert
✔️ Have strong knowledge of UK charity law and governance frameworks
✔️ Bring sound judgement, integrity, and strategic thinking
✔️ Are UK-based (to support governance requirements)
✔️ Are motivated to make a real difference internationally
