ASIF Trustee, Prachee Bhosle, represented the Axial Spondyloarthritis International Federation (ASIF) at the Biosimilar Patient Leaders’ Workshop organised by Medicines for Europe on 6 May 2026, followed by the Biosimilar Conference held from 7–8 May in Amsterdam.

Held under the theme “From Promise to Practice: Advancing Patient-Centred Design & Evaluation of Biosimilar Policies,” the workshop brought together patient leaders, healthcare experts, and advocates to discuss how biosimilar policies can better reflect patient needs and real-world experiences.

Sessions explored meaningful patient participation in healthcare policy, the importance of patient-reported outcomes, and how biosimilar policies should be evaluated not only through financial impact but also through patient experience, trust, accessibility, communication, and long-term outcomes.

 The workshop also focused on identifying practical ways to assess policy impact on patients, including the importance of asking the right questions, defining meaningful measures, and ensuring communication is clear and understandable for patients.
