The institute is dedicated to educating and empowering individuals affected by diseases within the spondyloarthritis group, with the aim of enhancing their quality of life.

Founded in December 2023, INAPE operates under the auspices of the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology and currently engages 571 members across 24 Brazilian states through its digital platform.

A notable aspect of the organization is that every member of its leadership team has a diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis, ensuring that all initiatives and decisions are informed by firsthand experience and an in-depth understanding of patient needs.
