Introducing our newest member: 3majmy się razem – Poland

Written by Viola Zajk
Founded in 2008, 3majmy się razem (“Let’s stick together”) is a patient organisation in Poland that unites people living with inflammatory connective tissue diseases, axSpA, and other chronic rheumatic conditions.
In 2026 we will celebrate our 18th anniversary – eighteen years of shared challenges, learning, and deep human connection.
Our story began with a small group of young patients who simply needed understanding. Over time, this circle grew – and today, 3majmy się razem is a nationwide community that supports thousands of people through education, advocacy, and everyday solidarity.
We believe that support is not only about information or medical access, but about kindness, presence and empathy. Many of our members live with invisible pain and fatigue, but within our community they find strength, friendship and purpose. Together we’ve created a space where no one has to explain what it means to live with a chronic illness – because everyone simply understands.
Our activities include:
- educational webinars and podcasts,
- campaigns that increase public and medical awareness of inflammatory diseases,
- cooperation with doctors, researchers, and decision-makers to improve access to care and treatment,
- patient mentoring and emotional support programs,
- participation in European projects and networks, ensuring that the voice of Polish patients is heard internationally.
After 18 years, our mission remains the same: to stay together – and to keep hope alive. For us, 3majmy się razem is not just a name. It’s a way of life.

Dopasowani”
The photo exhibition “Dopasowani” (“Matched”), presented in the Polish Parliament, was created to show the real faces of people living with rheumatic diseases – their strength, sensitivity and everyday courage.
Each portrait tells a story of adaptation and resilience – how people adjust their lives to treatment, pain and limitations, yet still find ways to remain active, creative and connected with others.
The exhibition aimed to raise awareness about the invisible side of rheumatic diseases, mainly those related to axSpA, and the need for comprehensive support for patients and their families.

About Viola
I joined 3majmy się razem while searching for information about my diagnosis – axSpA, which I received quite late. At that time, I knew almost nothing about the disease, about treatment options, or about my rights as a patient.
What I found was much more than information – I found people who understood. Their support and kindness gave me the courage to speak up, ask questions, and take part in shaping a better system for others like me.
Over the years, this experience transformed into a mission. Today, as President of 3majmy się razem, I work to ensure that no one in Poland faces the same confusion and isolation that I once felt.
Our organisation has become a bridge – between patients and doctors, between understanding and policy, between individual stories and collective advocacy. Every person who joins us brings something unique: empathy, strength, and hope. That human connection is what drives everything we do – and what keeps us truly together.
We are proud to be part of ASIF, joining a global network of organisations that share the same goals – to give every person living with axSpA understanding, support, and a stronger voice. We can make even greater change – because when we stand together, no one stands alone.
