World Patient Alliance
ASIF has become a member of the World Patients Alliance (WPA).
WPA is the leading umbrella network of patient organisations worldwide, representing more than 460 member groups across 124 countries. Its mission is to act as the global voice of patients, promoting patient empowerment, meaningful engagement, and access to safe, high-quality, and affordable health care for all. WPA brings together patients, caregivers, civil society, health systems, and policy makers to ensure that health systems are shaped by the lived experiences and needs of people.
We know that together we are stronger – which is why we unite axSpA related organistations from around the world. As a member of WPA, ASIF has joined a larger global network of patient organisations across many disease areas – making our voice even louder!
As part of WPA, ASIF will have stronger leverage to influence international policy and engage with global health institutions. We will gain access to webinars, toolkits, capacity-building resources, and best practices in patient safety, health literacy, and participatory care which we can share with our members. Membership will also facilitate collaboration with other patient organisations across regions and disease areas, exchanging insights, coordinating campaigns, and driving joint initiatives. Membership of WPA underscores our commitment to patient-centred care, raising our visibility among global stakeholders and potential partners.
