World AS Day falls on the first Saturday in May unless that is 1 May or May Day – then it falls on the second Saturday in May – in 2021 that will be Saturday 8 May.
What you can do:
Together we can spread the word and raise awareness about Axial Spondyloarthritis. We need your help to spread the message as far and wide as possible.

TOGETHER – axSpA and emotional wellness
Despite pandemic-related difficulties, World AS Day 2020 was extremely successful. Thanks to so many countries taking part, the message was truly global. The Social Media World AS Day Campaign reached fantastic viewing figures:
- Facebook now has 3,081 followers
- Facebook reached 4.1 million people
- Our best post was shared 2.5 million times
- 7,567 users to the website of which 7,486 were new
The SAA’s Global Summit was downloaded in an amazing 71 countries Walk Your AS Off in 2020 logged 96,004,231 steps
Next year, in the run up to World AS Day, ASIF will provide a full toolkit for your use on and around World AS Day. We also plan to hold a webinar to talk about the campaign and to encourage support of the SAA’s Global Summit and Walk Your AS Off 2021. Further details to follow in the New Year.
